HOUR SWAP FAQs

Since we have some new followers and new interest I wanted to post some FAQs and make HOUR SWAP as smooth as possible.

FAQs

Q: When do the Hour Swaps go up?
A: I try to post the Hour Swaps by 12 noon (lunch time) and they are up for bid until midnight. By midnight the highest bid wins.

Q: How do I place a bid?
A: By leaving a comment here under the Hour Swap of the day with your bid amount. OR- By emailing hourswap@electriclollipop.com OR by cruising by my facebook page and sending me a message or comment. You have options! :)

Q: How will I know if I've been outbid?
A: I do my best to update the bids as they come in via: TWITTER (twitter.com/djtigerbee) in the comments here and as my facebook status updates. I recommend placing your highest bid... as staying up till midnight every night isn't something I do and I can't update bids as the night wears on.

Q: What are shipping costs for Hour Swap?
A: Shipping is usually about $5 in the US. If this needs to go outside the US I will give you an accurate shipping estimate before shipping.

Q: How can I pay?
A: I accept PAYPAL and MONEY ORDERS, if you are a winner I will send you my information and get your shipping address from you

Q: When do you ship?
A: On receipt of payment I make two trips weekly to the post office on Mondays and on Fridays

Q: Why don't you do this on Ebay?
A: I love the idea of doing this all independently and it feels more personal to do this within my blog where I feel I can get to know the people bidding on my art. I may experiment with Ebay at some point but am content with this way right now.

Q: What else is there to know about Hour Swap?
A: If you win an HOUR SWAP you are also winning the opportunity to share your voice with my readers. I would love to spotlight the winners in my "Dialogue" series where I ask the winners to tell me "Why art is important to you?" or "Why did you connect with this piece?" I also ask for a link to anything they are doing (i.e. art, writing, blogging, website, business, etc) I think the people participating in HOUR SWAP are as important as the art and my time....a vital part of the Hour Swap project is YOU!
